Palo Alto, CA (September 23, 2008)--The UK's first Euphonix S5 Fusion digital mixing audio system has been installed at 2nd Sense Broadcast Ltd., in a newly opened post house located at the revamped Elstree Film Studios in England
The new 24-fader, 78-channel system with EuCon DAW control of a Pyramix digital audio workstation is housed in Theatre A at the facility. Established 11 years ago, 2nd Sense continues to build on its strength, serving diverse markets from children's television to groundbreaking TV shows such as Later with Jools Holland.
"We had pushed our current technology to the limit and needed to take a step forward, especially to meet the growing demand for 5.1 for broadcast," explained Richard Sillitto, senior dubbing mixer at 2nd Sense.
"We wanted a console with the sophistication our clients and projects demand, but at a price point that made sense. Using Pyramix as our house DAW system, we needed a console that would integrate seamlessly with this platform. This is one of the delights of the S5 Fusion," continued Sillitto. "Additionally, it's not unusual for our broad spectrum of clients to bring in different DAWs, and being able to accommodate them is very important to us."
Studio owner, Wendy Hewitt, is excited to expand the range of services being offered to her clients. "For a small, privately-owned facility this was a big decision. Choosing Euphonix as a partner had a lot to do with not only the products, but also the people. We're confident we'll get the customer support we need to make this a success."
