Wildomar, CA (December 4, 2008)--Ultrasone has debuted its HFI-15G headphone. Designed for portable listening applications, the HFI-15G is the smallest headphone in the Ultrasone HFI line but still features the company's patented S-Logic Natural Surround Sound technology.

The HFI-15G is an open-back, supra-aural headphone that reportedly allows the user to experience a natural surround sound sensation without the use of digital processing. According to the company, its S-Logic technology reduces sound pressure on the eardrum by up to 40 percent, resulting in a safer listening experience for the user.

All of this is made possible by utilizing a decentralized driver position. Simply put, S-Logic directs sound to the listener's outer ear as opposed to directing sound into the inner ear. The human ear relies on the outer ear for three-dimensional understanding or defining the direction and distance where a sound comes from.

"With the mainstream popularity of portable music players, we wanted to introduce a pair of headphones that contained all of our safe listening technology, but were also easily portable," commented Paul Taylor, president of Ultrasone Inc. "The HFI-15G's sound quality is second to none and most importantly, they can be enjoyed for hours without discomfort, fatigue or hearing damage."
