Lowell, MA (June 22, 2006)–University of Massachusetts, Lowell has purchased a 48-channel API Vision Surround Mixing Console for their Master of Music in Sound Recording Technology program under the direction of Dr. William Moylan, chairperson of the Department of Music.
The console was purchased to provide the classic API sound with full 5.1 surround mix and production capabilities. Installation will be complete in early August, for the upcoming fall semester.
The UMass Master of Music in Sound Recording Technology program is designed to provide graduates with in-depth knowledge of current and experimental audio technologies, sound recording technology, production practice, and research practices and techniques. With the API Vision Console students have the opportunity to work with a 5.1 console that prepares them for all facets of their future careers.
