Santa Cruz, CA (February 27, 2004)–Universal Audio recently launched its new plug-in store and website–my.uaudio.com–to support the return of worldwide distribution of the UAD-1 DSP card and Powered Plug-Ins from Mackie to UA in 2004.
“As UA grows, we are upgrading our business infrastructure and in particular our online presence which we see as a core part of making the UAD-1 and its plug-ins a continued success story,” said Mike Barnes, UA director of marketing. “The new UA site will not only provide much faster access for customers with our brand new high-speed servers but provide more detailed product information and most importantly allow worldwide 24/7 registration, plug-in purchasing and instant authorization without any “waiting period.”
“With over 10,000 UAD-1’s in the field and growing fast, UA is committed to continuing to rapidly expand the range of highly acclaimed plug-ins and offering more convenient delivery systems and improved customer support,” said UA president Matt Ward. “UA has enjoyed a huge increase in traffic to our site in 2003 and in response we will continue to expand our online services with educational/infotainment content in the popular UA webzine and customer support modules such as a searchable UAD-1 knowledgebase.”
The new my.uaudio.com site already includes all existing registered Mackie UAD-1 customers who have been automatically transferred and can simply enter their email address and request a password to start using the new UA system.
Optional UAD-1 plug-in’s such as the Cambridge EQ, Dreamverb and the new Fairchild 670, all available for $149, can all be purchased directly from the new site worldwide using major credit cards or Paypal.
