Universal Audio Names Westall VP of Product Marketing

Santa Cruz, CA (December 18, 2008)--Universal Audio has appointed Greg Westall to the position of vice president of product marketing.

Santa Cruz, CA (December 18, 2008)–Universal Audio has appointed Greg Westall to the position of vice president of product marketing.

Having logged more than 15 years at some of the industry’s top companies, Westall brings a wealth of both MI and pro audio product management experience to Universal Audio.

In his recent position as hardware marketing manager for Digidesign, Westall was responsible for recording studio hardware development from Mbox to ICON. Previously, he was director of online services at Line 6 and established the company’s European operations as managing director of Line 6 Europe.

Westall’s new position marks a return to Universal Audio. He was senior product marketing manager at UA during 2004-2005. “We are more than thrilled to have Greg back,” comments Universal Audio president Matt Ward. “He is a seasoned, professional product manager who brought powerful market insight to Universal Audio and a demonstrated ability to translate it into winning product strategies. Westall attended University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and is a graduate of Musicians Institute in Los Angeles. He studied electronic music with Bob Moog and recording with Bruce Swedien. He continues to be an avid guitar player and technology enthusiast.
