Germany (March 26, 2004)–VIA Technologies, Inc., an innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, and Steinberg, the audio group of Pinnacle Systems, a supplier of audio software, has announced an agreement to jointly promote a selection of Steinberg’s advanced audio creation and playback applications with the VIA Vinyl Audio line of award-winning audio controllers and codecs.
The PC is facing radically changing multimedia requirements as it becomes a more entertainment-focused device, and central among these is the ability to listen to, create, and manage audio content, but while the majority of PCs have basic audio functionality, they often lack the software to fully manage their audio experience. With this agreement, VIA is developing more comprehensive turnkey solutions to provide users with the audio tools they require to allow them to take full advantage of the capabilities of VIA’s audio hardware solutions.
“We are very excited to be working together with Steinberg on this joint promotion program,” commented Steve Chen, executive assistant to the CEO, VIA Technologies, Inc. “It means we can deliver a unified solution for our customers that fuses our market-leading VIA Vinyl Audio solutions with their feature laden software.”
“The agreement between VIA and Steinberg will enable us to further enhance the consumer’s digital entertainment experience by allowing them to take full advantage of the powerful capabilities of VIA’s audio hardware solutions,” commented Andreas Stelling, general manager Steinberg, the audio group of Pinnacle Systems, Inc. “As a result, users will be able to turn their PC into the ultimate home juke box or home studio using a single package solution.”
