Anaheim, CA (February 2, 2004)--VTG, the parent company of Horizon Music Inc. and Rapco International, manufacturers of audio and video interfacing and cable equipment, announced the launch of Net CAD, powered by StarDraw, at Winter NAMM in January. Net CAD is an online end-to-end design and pricing tool for clients building custom installations. Net CAD will be utilized by both Horizon Music Inc. and Rapco International.

"Net CAD will create an entirely new avenue for doing business with our customers," said Darius Seabaugh, vice president of sales & marketing, VTG Corporation. "Net CAD will allow our customers to log-on and sign-in to Horizon Music's or Rapco's Web sites and design custom rack panels, wall plates or whatever else they have in mind. Customers can also design their own laser engravings and logos for the installations they are working on."

The Net CAD center will give customers a complete list of products and pricing. "Customers can design an installation, price it and approve it any time of day or any day of the week," continued Seabaugh. "Horizon and Rapco can receive the CAD files directly from their client's data and build the custom product. We expect Net CAD to expedite the quoting process and greatly reduce production time, as well as eliminate mistakes."

Based on Stardraw.net technology, Net CAD is delivered by a web server and works from within a browser so there is nothing to download or install in the conventional sense. It comprises a drag-and-drop interface linked to a complete library of all of Horizon Music's and Rapco's panel products so the user simply selects the panel he or she wants, drags on the connectors that are needed, and sets engraving, finishes, artwork and so on. The resultant design is linked in real time via XML to sophisticated back-office systems. Once the design is complete, a separate pop-up report delivers an instant quote.

Stardraw.com CEO David Snipp said, "Not only does Net CAD use Stardraw.net, the world's first online CAD application, as its engine, it also, for the first time, offers a totally integrated solution by linking the design process directly with Horizon's and Rapco's back-office database systems in real time through HTTP and XML. As a result, it is fast, flexible, powerful and of real benefit to Horizon's and Rapco's customers."
