Knoxville, TN (August 12, 2004)–Waves LTD., a global leader in audio signal processing solutions for the professional audio and multimedia markets, has announced the appointment of Garrett Soden as director of pro audio marketing and communications. Gilad Keren, CEO of Waves Ltd., has designated Soden responsible for overseeing all marketing and communications activities for the Waves pro audio division. Soden will begin by addressing possibilities for maximizing the interest generated by recent Waves product launches, including the IR-1 Parametric Convolution Reverb and Musicians Bundle.
Soden brings a unique mix of marketing, communication, and audio experience to Waves, having worked as a senior writer/designer, managing editor, creative director, and director of communications in positions at Occidental College, Commuter Transportation Services, Inc., Kenwood USA, and Getplugged.com, among others. He is the author of five books, including two on business communication. Soden has also worked as a professional guitarist, and currently serves as music producer/engineer at his own Blue Meter Music studio, where he first gained an appreciation for Waves’ audio processing tools. Soden will guide Waves’ presence at trade shows, on the web, in advertising and public relations initiatives, along with other audio/visual and print media outlets.
