Memphis, TN (December 14, 2009)--WHBQ-TV, a station owned and operated by Fox Broadcasting Company, has installed a new Solid State Logic C100 HD-S digital broadcast console.

The station began broadcasting its local newscasts in high definition in June of 2009 necessitating the move to an HD capable audio console. WHBQ broadcasts a total of 36 1/2 hours of local news a week, with 7 1/2 hours on weekdays, two hours on Saturdays and one hour on Sundays--more than any other television station in the state of Tennessee. The C100 HD-S, with its advanced feature set tailored for live broadcast operation, rock solid reliability and deft handling of network 5.1 surround, brings WHBQ-TV in line with the HD future.
