New Bern, NC (June 16, 2004)–Wheatstone is reporting several new installations of its Wheatstone Generation 4/Bridge Router System at Clear Channel and ABC Radio Networks facilities in New York and Washington, DC.
Clear Channel Communications has chosen the Wheatstone Generation 4/Bridge Router System to upgrade its facilities in Rochester, NY. The Bridge Router will serve as the backbone for distribution of analog audio, digital audio, and control signals. Studios for WHAM, WHTK, WVOR, WNVE and WKGS will be equipped with Bridge Satellite Router Cages to create their networked audio/control system. Generation 3 and Generation 4 Worksurfaces will interface with the SAT cages in those studios. Audioarts D-16 Consoles with Integrated Router Control will be used production and voice track rooms.
The new studios in Rochester will also use the Wheatstone Tech Series furniture. Delivery is slated for August this year.
ABC Radio Networks has chosen the Wheatstone Generation 4 / Bridge Router System to upgrade studios in both New York City and Washington, DC. Two studios in New York and three studios in Washington will also use Wheatstone studio furniture. The Generation 4 system allows the studios in each facility to share various sources and network feeds. It also offers a flexible mix minus and talkback system for this news intensive environment. The Washington and New York bureaus are responsible for the gathering, editing, and distribution of news stories from around the world.
