Los Angeles, CA (February 3, 2005)--Widget Post Production has expanded its position in sound editing and mixing with the launch of a new world-class audio post-production facility. The recently opened Los Angeles space features top-flight suites for sound effects and dialogue editing, as well as ADR, TV mixing and Foley stages, and a next-generation dubbing stage with the world's largest Digidesign ICON console. The new space has already hosted numerous Hollywood studio and independent films for a range of audio finishing and restoration work.

Moving to the site formerly housing Digital Sound & Picture and refurbishing the space to include many client-friendly amenities has provided Widget Post the unique opportunity to establish a leading-edge large boutique within an environment rich in audio history and design. A major draw for clients is the company's 1700-sq.-ft. Main Theatrical Mixing Stage, which lets mixers utilize the next evolution of the re-recording console--a 96-fader, 768-channel Digidesign ICON integrated digital control surface--in one of the first THX stages ever built in Los Angeles. Other attractive features of the all-digital facility include a spacious ADR stage with a large, comfortable control room, a separate 11-pit Foley stage, and nine edit suites that enable state-of-the-art audio effects and sweetening.

"We looked around at the number of larger or corporate-owned audio companies and saw a market for one-stop-shop facilities--especially one that focused on client services and relationship-building while keeping up to the minute with digital technology," commented Anne-Marie Slack, president, Widget Post. "We knew we wanted to build stages, and we were really excited to be able to do this in a virtually untouched facility that also had a great legacy of audio engineering and design."
