Burnley, UK (June 7, 2007)--AMS Neve Ltd. has announced the installation of console upgrades for Hollywood post-production studio, Widget Post. The first of the studio's DFC consoles--originally installed seven years ago and employed to mix hundreds of major films--has been upgraded with next-generation Gemini audio processing and Encore Plus automation.
A new console-wide TFT meterbridge has also been added, providing improved visual feedback for a wide range of additional mix information. Taken together, Widget Post feels these upgrades bring the console up to the very latest specifications
In its short history, Widget Post has become a popular audio post-production facilities, with recent credits on films including The Hills Have Eyes, American Haunting and the upcoming Spring Break in Bosnia. Central to the mixing of these films has been the AMS Neve DFC console. In the words of Widget Post director of operations Matt Dubin, "We're thrilled to have the upgrade in place. Because the DFC has served us so well, upgrading it was an easy decision. Replacing the DFC with a new console would have cost far more and given us much less."
Specifically, the recent upgrades to Widget Post's DFC provide cutting-edge features including frame-accurate instant start automation, variable Mix Pass AutoSave, improved EDL conform and EDL Editor, WavTrack scrolling waveform display, and StarCommand DAW control.
