New York, NY (June 11, 2004)–Actor/rapper Will Smith recently spent two weeks in Studio B at The Cutting Room, working on a new album with engineer Dylan Margerum, while in town filming the film, I Robot in lower Manhattan. Lava Records artist Toby Lightman returned to The Cutting Room to mix her new single, a cover of Mary J. Blige’s “Real Love.” David “Dibs” Shackney did the mix with producer Peter Zizzo on the SSL 9000 J.
Indy rockers The Panthers recently spent a week in Studio A as well, mixing their new album for Vice Records with producer/engineer Alex Newport, assisted by Steve Rakidzioski. And, Queens duo Psycho Les and Junkyard Juju better known as The Beatnuts, finished up their new record at The Cutting Room, entitled Milk Me in Studio B this month. Brooklyn rap/rock group M.O.P (Mash Out Posse) finished tracking and mixing their new record this month in Studio A.
