Bordeaux-Merignac, France (September 8, 2009)--The International Broadcast Group--Audemat, APT and Ecreso--will unveil a new group identity and updated image at this year's IBC, uniting under the group name WorldCast Systems.
The rebranding is designed to reflect the group's strategy of providing professional, integrated solutions to broadcasters at every step along the broadcast chain, according to the group.
Commenting on the launch, group president, Bruno Rost states, "The new WorldCast Systems name reflects our ability to supply complete turnkey broadcast systems to customers worldwide and our new image and branding reflects our professional, unified approach to the market. WorldCast Systems is a dynamic new force in the international broadcast market. We can harness the collective expertise and extensive product portfolio of several leading broadcast brands to offer our customers a complete service for their radio and TV installations."
The WorldCast Systems name bears the strap line "deliver > transmit > monitor," outlining the three key areas of competency of the group. APT codecs deliver broadcast-grade audio and video between locations over a variety of different links, Ecreso transmitters offer professional distribution of Radio and TV terrestrial signals and the Audemat range provides a range of monitoring and measurement tools for a variety of broadcast technologies. The group also offers broadcast equipment such as audio processors, RDS encoders and remote facility management.
The launch of the new name and branding follows the acquisition in March this year of the Northern Ireland-based company, APT codecs, which completed the missing link between studio and transmitter site in the group's expanding portfolio.
Rost will officially launch the new look at a celebration on the group's IBC booth on September 12 in Amsterdam.
