Greensboro, NC (December 20, 2010)--WorxAudio Technologies has introduced its TrueLine V5 Ultra-Compact Line Array designed for use in fixed installations, as a portable loudspeaker system for corporate A/V, and front fill applications.

The loudspeaker incorporates a medium format 1-inch exit compression driver coupled to a stabilized, proprietary FlatWave Former (wave shaping device). Dual 5-inch cone transducers coupled to the Acoustic Intergrading Module (A.I.M.) are said to minimize cone filtering throughout the entire operating range.

The new WorxAudio V5 has a 120-degree symmetrical horizontal coverage pattern and a 10-degree vertical dispersion pattern arrayable in 1-degree increments. This arrangement reportedly facilitates consistent sound quality both on- and off-axis. The V5 is a 16-ohm passive loudspeaker system designed flexibility in terms of assembling multiple box setups all driven by a common amplifier. According to WorxAudio, this feature reduces the number of amplifiers necessary to power the system and, hence, the cost of power the amplifiers. It also minimizes the issues of where to house those power amplifiers.

The V5’s enclosure is constructed from multi-ply Baltic Birch and is heavily braced for cabinet rigidity, but weighs 30 pounds. Protecting the enclosure is a multi-layered, polyurea finish that is available in black or white. A 16-guage, perforated, cloth-backed, powder coated steel grill with a high transmission ratio protects the transducer complement. The V5’s custom designed, black anodized, 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum TrueAim™ rigging hardware with 1-degree increments enables the user to array the system to the desired coverage area in flown or ground stack mode.

For fixed installations, the TrueAim Grid has a 10:1 weight management rating, resulting in the ability to fly as many as 24 elements with 1-degree pin increments for precise positioning. The TrueAim Grid can support three V5 elements atop the grid and can be pole mounted for a portable “speaker on a stick” sound system. An optionally available pole mount system is available from WorxAudio Technologies. Also, the new V5 can be used as a front fill loudspeaker.

Hugh Sarvis, WorxAudio Technologies’ CEO and Director of Engineering, commented on the new TrueLine V5 line array system, “The new V5 combines the finest loudspeaker components with superior workmanship to create a tremendously versatile, remarkably compact loudspeaker system that is truly capable of addressing a myriad of diverse sound reinforcement applications from permanent installations to portable PA to front fill applications. The inclusion of EASE Focus 2 array software with full GLL balloons further completes the package. I am extremely confident the V5 has the feature set today’s most demanding audio professionals require.”
