Woodrow "Woody" Jarrett, Yamaha Buena Park, CA (August 16, 2007)--Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, has appointed Woodrow "Woody" Jarrett as its new district manager for high-technology products. Jarrett will be responsible for high-tech sales in the four corner states: Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. He will report to Frank Yardley, western regional sales manager.
Jarrett has served as a trainer-merchandiser for Yamaha in the Phoenix area, visiting musical-instrument stores and familiarizing owners and employees with the company's high-technology products, including digital pianos, portable keyboards and live-sound equipment, along with music-production instruments and Steinberg software.
Prior to his position with Yamaha, Jarrett taught music business and audio recording courses at Maricopa Community College and worked in musical instrument sales. An experienced recording engineer, he managed and played saxophone with Envy, one of Arizona's most prestigious bands. Jarrett graduated from Arizona State University. He currently lives in Phoenix.
"Woody represents another example of how our trainer-merchandiser program has served as a 'farm team' of sorts for our sales staff," said Robert Heller, national sales director, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "This program allows us to attract and promote outstanding business and musical talent. Woody has already proven himself to be a valuable asset to our channel partners, and we continue to expect big things from him."
