Yamaha Appoints Smith High-Tech District Manager

Buena Park, CA (March 30, 2007)--Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, has appointed Donald W. Smith as its new district manager for high-technology products. Smith will be responsible for high-tech sales in the upper Midwest states, including Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He will report to Reed Larrimore, northern regional sales manager.

Buena Park, CA (March 30, 2007)--Yamaha Corporation of America, Pro Audio & Combo Division, has appointed Donald W. Smith as its new district manager for high-technology products.

Smith will be responsible for high-tech sales in the upper Midwest states, including Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin. He will report to Reed Larrimore, northern regional sales manager.

Prior to Smith's position with Yamaha, he served as general manager at Brookdale Music in Naperville, IL, where he gained valuable experience as a buyer for several departments, including professional audio equipment. He also helped oversee the store's daily operations as well as all advertising and promotions. Smith also teaches courses in music business and music technology at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.

"In addition to his retail experience and firsthand knowledge about what works for dealers and what does not, he is also an expert regarding the technological specifications of our products."
