Buena Park, CA (July 18, 2005)–Yamaha has launched a new section on its Web site dedicated to the products and projects of the Commercial Audio Systems Division. The new page, www.yamaha.com/ca, includes product releases, end-user and application success stories, product-related downloads and training seminar information.
According to division general manager Larry Italia, the site was created to “enhance Yamaha’s web presence and to provide a distinction between the commercial and MI product markets.” The Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems Division represents high-end recording, production, system integration, broadcast and tour sound markets. Products are available through a dedicated contractor and sound company dealer network, with separate sales and support teams. The Pro Audio & Combo Division’s Live Sound (formerly Professional Audio) department concentrates on sound reinforcement analog mixers, speakers and amplifiers, with products available through traditional musical instrument retail outlets.
Some of the products under Yamaha Commercial Audio include the PM Series analog and digital mixing consoles, DM Series digital mixers, DME digital mixing systems, XM and P Series amplifiers, and SPX Series effect processors. Recent divisional developments include the launch of the new Installation Series speaker line, the Active Field Control (AFC) acoustic enhancement system, and a distribution alliance for NEXO sound reinforcement products
“Many of the top tours and installations rely on Yamaha Commercial Audio products,” stated Italia. “Since engineers, producers, contractors and consultants are also active Web users, our goal was to simplify the search process for those customers by providing a single portal for all pertinent information.”
In the future, the site will feature updated information on training seminars for the PM1D and PM5D product lines, as well as more product updates available via direct downloads. PM1D school information is available http://www.yamaha.com/cas/pm1dschool/description.asp.
