The Z Right Stuff's Z-Bar miking bracket suspends the microphone in front of the amp and is adjustable for positioning.Deerfield, IL (August 15, 2008)--Z Right Stuff, maker of the original Z-Bar amplifier-miking bracket, has made the bracket available to retailers in hang-tag packaging, with a plastic bag to ensure the product is visible and protected.
Company president Beverly Kontney says, "The Z-Bar has always been very popular in touring sound, but it's a perfect product for retail stores, too. It's convenient, it's reasonably priced and it's packaged for easy display. We expect to really expand our dealer base."
The Z-Bar is made of lightweight, anodized aluminum with dedicated hardware for attachment of any 5/8-inch, 27-mic clip. The bar can be slipped beneath a speaker cabinet or guitar amp, or hung from the top-carrying handle, suspending the microphone in front of the loudspeaker. A slot cut into the business end of the Z-Bar allows repeatable mic positioning.
"Touring artists love the Z-Bar because it's so fast and easy," notes Kontney. "It becomes part of their guitar rig. At the Super Bowl this year, right at the end of Tom Petty's set, there was a camera shot that showed his Z-Bar had made it on stage. It was one of our proudest moments as a company."
