Q: What is your new position, and what does it entail?
A:
As Audix co-founder Cliff Castle’s successor in the vice president of Sales and Marketing position at Audix, I lead the sales and marketing department with direct responsibility for the development and implementation of sales, branding, messaging and market/product development efforts for domestic as well as international markets. My responsibilities are both strategic and operational. Audix has built an exciting culture of innovation and excellence that is well suited to my personal values, and I am honored to be part of the team.

Q: How has your background prepared you for your new role?
A:
While not as active of a performer as in years past, I am a musician, so I employ the perspective of a product end-user to my role. I am always the first—and often toughest—customer that I have to please. My professional background encompasses sales, marketing, business and product development, artist relations and operations leadership responsibilities across several facets of the music industry, including manufacturing. I am quite fortunate to have a diverse and rewarding career in a field of work that I love.

Q: What new marketing initiatives are we likely to see from the company?
A:
Our marketing activities will include: (1) a broader mix of marketing channels and tactics; (2) cohesive and comprehensive campaigns; (3) more defined messaging that connects with specific end-users of our products; and (4) partner marketing programs that enable Audix business partners and dealers to generate greater sales of Audix products. We will also be strengthening existing professional relationships and pursuing new partnerships to reach prospective audiences.

Q: What are your short- and long-term goals?
A:
We are excited about introducing users to the new Audix Performance Series Wireless Systems. The quality, performance, features and ease-of-use are best in class at an amazing price point. Wireless operation has become an expected standard for many pro-audio applications and we will continue to develop and expand our wireless device offerings to remain an industry leader. Additionally, the installed sound segment of the pro-audio industry has shown great promise and we are building our capacity to serve that market with high expectations. Long-term, Audix has a clear mission that guides the company: “To design, engineer, and manufacture high performing, innovative products that contribute to the advancement of the professional audio industry.” Everything we do now, and will do in the future, is aligned to the mission.
