Q: What is your new position, and what does it entail?

Q: What is your new position, and what does it entail?

A: I am the vice president and general manager of EAW. Mark Graham, LOUD’s CEO, has directed that I rapidly move to grow and enhance EAW’s technology leadership position and serve our customers with world-class support and a commitment to partnership. In support of those initiatives, my team now includes all of EAW’s research and development, manufacturing, marketing, sales and support in a fully autonomous business unit within LOUD.

Q: How has your background prepared you for your new role?

A: EAW is a customer-focused technology company that synthesizes industry-leading innovation with a profound understanding of the diverse challenges our customers face. I have experienced this core philosophy, pioneered by Kenton Forsythe, firsthand as an engineer with EAW. Over the last 17 years, my role expanded to director of engineering before embracing my current responsibilities. I directly understand that delivering customer-focused solutions requires tremendous commitment and organizational synchronization. We are excited to continue down this proven path with a renewed level of energy, enthusiasm, commitment and teamwork.

Q: What new marketing initiatives are we likely to see from the company?

A: You will see us quickly move on a variety of very visible fronts. We will deliver an application-focused message via a variety of media and through direct customer interaction. We will expand the scope and global reach of our Application Support Group (ASG). We will develop global education initiatives in partnership with customers to deepen the collective understanding of acoustics. We will continue to expand our manufacturing facility in Whitinsville, MA and our engineering and technical presence in the field. And we will build upon core technologies to establish the next level of performance and consistency within the live-sound space.

Q: What are your short- and long-term goals?

A: Our short-term goals are focused on the establishment of the next benchmark in live-sound reinforcement, strengthening the most flexible and responsive manufacturing capability in the industry and growing our ASG capabilities. Our longer-term goals are focused on the continued development of core technologies and market-driven product innovation. We have many exciting technologies and products in development that promise to change the high-output sound reinforcement landscape. Mark is encouraging me to invest in accelerating our efforts to deliver upon that promise.

Q: What is the greatest challenge that you face?

A: Our new organization unites the promise of the future with the values of our past. The result is a reinvigorated team with palpable energy and passion. My biggest challenge is pacing our growth. For many, the combination of cutting-edge development, heavily customized solutions, a truly flexible, responsive and rapid manufacturing capability, and simultaneous support of countless worldwide projects may feel frenetic. To me, it feels like home
