Nashville, TN (October 22, 2015)—Argosy Console has released a new in-depth discussion video featuring legendary drummer Chad Cromwell, who recently acquired the new Halo compact workstation.
Cromwell has worked with a long list of recording artists including Joe Walsh; Neil Young; Mark Knopfler; Willie Nelson; Jackson Browne; Boz Scaggs; Bonnie Raitt; Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young; Peter Frampton; Emmylou Harris; Vince Gill; Lady Antebellum; and many others. This latest interview, along with a series of interviews with musicians, artists and producers who are at the heart of today’s music industry, can be seen on Argosy’s YouTube Channel.
In his Nashville studio, his room is set up so that the console, his drum kit and the performers who are recording with him are all together in the same room. He recently added the new Halo compact workstation, Argosy’s desk that is designed to be highly customized with optional accessories to specifically suit the creative needs and workflow of the user.
“When I saw the prototype of the Argosy Halo, I thought, this is perfect for me. I like the size and shape for my workflow, and the footprint is small, which is a wonderful thing for a space like mine,” says Cromwell. “With Halo, I finally have a desk that I can feel comfortable sitting behind for a long period of time, which I could not say about my previous setup.”
In the video, Cromwell recounts getting one of his big breaks after hanging out with Walsh one night, who asked him to play a few days later with him at KLOS Shoreline Amphitheatre. “My first gig with Joe Walsh was at this big radio festival in front of 20,000 people; we were supposed to rehearse, but we never did,” he says. “So my first gig with Joe Walsh was cold. And that took me to a whole new place in my career, and people started calling.”
