Los Angeles, CA (November 5, 2013)—Audionamix’s audio source separation technology provided isolated vocals for several songs on Verve Record’s Love to Love You Donna, a remix album of Donna Summer’s greatest hits.
“It was exciting to work on these vocal isolations, but it was a tall order,” says Rick Silva, Audionamix’s VP of production. “We’ve delivered several isolated tracks for Verve in the past, but the source material supplied for this project was especially challenging because of the driving beats and synthesized sounds layered throughout these legendary dance tracks. Fortunately, the timing was right, and we were able to utilize our latest audio source separation technology, which is also featured in ADX TRAX, our professional software due out early next year.”
Produced by Randall Poster and Dahlia Ambach-Caplin, Love to Love You Donna is now available in stores and on iTunes. Some of the premier DJs who relied on Audionamix’s separated vocal tracks when contributing remixes on Love to Love You Donna include Afrojack and Benga, who delivered remixes for “I Feel Love,” Jacques Greene for his version of “On the Radio,” and Krystal Klear, whose remix “Our Love” is an iTunes bonus track.
“For years, we have been solving complex audio challenges for content owners, creatives, and pro audio technicians in the entertainment industry,” says Arnaud Dudemaine, Audionamix’s VP of operations. “We are excited to continue our collaboration with Verve, and honored to play a part in this historic tribute album. These creative remixes will surely re-ignite Donna Summer’s legacy for yet another generation.”
Verve Music Group has utilized Audionamix technology on several recent releases, including projects by Rod Stewart, Barbra Streisand, Andre Bocelli, Natalie Cole, and Verve Remixed: The First Ladies, a remix compilation album featuring vocal isolations by Audionamix for legendary artists such as Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald, among others.
