Gent, Belgium (August 7, 2014)—Avid was chosen as an exclusive partner of the 2014 Gent Jazz Festival’s Garden Stage live sound workflow—a move which the manufacturer says highlighted its Avid Everywhere concept based on the Avid MediaCentral Platform. Jazz artists including Michael Kiwanuka, Melanie De Biasio and Gabriel Rios used Avid S3L live sound systems to deliver live performances at the festival. Through the Avid MediaCentral Platform, opportunities for future monetization of performance content were also offered to the festival’s artists and producers.

The festival used the Avid S3L System, part of the Avid Artist Suite, for both FOH and monitoring, powered by the Avid MediaCentral Platform. Engineers were able to run an expanded creative toolset of Avid and third-party plug-ins using the board’s Pro Tools HDX-powered processing engine. An additional S3L System was used to record the output from all stages through Avid Pro Tools, presenting monetization opportunities for the artists beyond the festival.
