Los Angeles, CA (October 22, 2014)—Digital Jungle, a 24,000-square-foot post facility in the heart of Hollywood, has completed an upgrade to its mixing suite, adding an Avid S6 mixing console equipped with Pro Tools 11.
“It’s always a tough call when deciding on whether to make a large technological upgrade, but the Avid S6 stood out as a console that will be cutting-edge for quite some time,” said Digital Jungle president Dennis Ho. “We’re looking forward to providing our clients the absolute most advanced audio services on the market.”
Ho actually was the first to baptize the new console, having utilized it for all of the audio workflow on his directorial film debut, A Better Place. Mixing, pre-dub, ADR, editing, music and sound effects were all handled via the new Avid S6 system.
Digital Jungle’s 7.1-capable mixing/ADR room also includes six JBL LSR6328P nearfield active studio monitors plus a subwoofer.
“I can definitively say that having the new tech helped me immensely on my film as director and editor,” said Ho. “With a single engineer working as a one-man army for the most part, we were able to do everything we could ever want in audio post to manage and maximize the feature film workflow process.”
