Los Angeles, CA (January 25, 2012)—British Audio Engineering (BAE) and Telefunken gear will be in the spotlight on Saturday, January 28, when the BAE T-Funk All-Star Band performs at LA nightclub, The Satellite.
The band, led by Manchester rocker Mark Loughman, CEO of BAE, includes world-renowned drummer, Kenny Aronoff, currently touring with Chickenfoot (filling in for Chad Smith during the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tour).
Also performing are guitarist Rafael Moreira (Pink, Christina Aguilera, Colbie Caillat); drummer Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver; Guns N’ Roses); guitarist Franky Perez (Camp Freddy, Stars on Broadway); guitarist Billy Morrison (Billy Idol, The Cult); bassist Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction, Alanis Morissette); DJ Lethal and other surprise guests.
The performance will feature gear from BAE, including 1073, 312 and 1084 microphone preamplifiers based on classics of the past and now remanufactured with original components. Telefunken microphones on stage will include the M80 and M81 dynamic microphones and Copperhead CU-29 and ELA M 260 condenser tube mics.
“Great musicians and great gear make for a night of great music–come and listen for yourself,” says Loughman, who will be performing songs from his forthcoming album, including the first single, “I Hate My Girlfriends Because They Love Me,” available Friday, Jan. 27 on iTunes.
