Hollywood, CA (April 20, 2012)—Supervising sound editor Michael Benavente, ADR supervisor on Moneyball, recently nominated for an Academy Award for Sound Mixing, has joined Soundelux.
Benavente arrives with more than 40 credits as a supervising sound editor, including the comedies No Strings Attached, Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Idiocracy. His latest project is Think Like a Man for director Tim Story, due for release in April.

A graduate of the film school at UCLA, Benavente has worked in feature film sound for more than 20 years. He got his start as an assistant sound editor on the television shows Dallas and Knots Landing. He went on to work as a sound editor, Foley editor and dialogue editor before earning his first credit as supervising sound editor on the 1998 film Doctor Dolittle. Other notable credits include Bad Santa, Catch and Release and Charlie's Angels.
Benavente won a Golden Reel Award for his work on Beauty and the Beast and was most recently nominated for his work on Moneyball. He has extensive experience as an ADR Editor and serves in that role on many of the films he supervises.
