Hawthorne, NY (February 3, 2017)—BTX Technologies hits its 50th anniversary this year, a milestone for the distributor and manufacturer of emerging technologies, signal processing products, integration gear and related services for the AV and Broadcast market space.
Founded in 1967 as Bi-Tronics, the company specialized in distributing connectors and cable into the audio and video markets, and added a copper cable assembly business in 1981. The company was rebranded in 2001 as BTX Technologies; since then, its signal processing product lines have expanded and BTX now engineers and manufactures many of its own products
Additionally, BTX has built a fiber lab and metal shop, partnered with a labor company to provide labor resources to integration clients and offers a “Full-Visibility” consignment program for select customers. Today, BTX focuses on unique and emerging technologies such as collaboration software, capture and streaming products, AV over IP transport systems, cell phone signal boosting systems and most recently, BookIT.
BTX will be celebrating its 50th year through 2017 including at the NAB shows in Las Vegas and New York, the InfoComm show in Orlando and smaller events throughout the year.
