Burglars Hit Small Buffalo Studio

Buffalo, NY (August 25, 2014)—On Saturday, August 23, Short Fuze Recording, a small, new facility in Buffalo, NY, was robbed; an estimated $20,000 worth of equipment was stolen. The entrepreneurial studio, located at 1675 Niagara St. on Buffalo’s West Side, has been open for less than a month, having moved in on August 1.

Short Fuze is owned by producer/engineer Justin Meighty Byrd (DJ M-80), producer and DJ for former Bad Boy Entertainment artist G.Dep.

According to The Buffalo News, Byrd worked overnight Friday at the facility until 5 a.m. on Saturday. When he returned Saturday night around 11 p.m., he found the door to the space open, although there was reportedly no sign of forced entry.

The Short Fuze Facebook page acknowledged the break-in, simply stating, “Over the weekend we experienced a severe burglary. Please contact us if anything comes your way, especially in the Buffalo area. Thank you.”
