Los Angeles, CA/Montreal, Canada (September 16, 2011)—Video game audio post house Game On Audio has added two audio engineers to its staff in Montreal and Los Angeles.
Fred Malone will be joining the Montreal facility as senior engineer, while Brian Magrum will become a fixture at Game On Audio L.A. in the role of sound mixer.
“As Game On Audio expands its workflow capability to keep pace with increased business, our dedication to bringing in top flight talent to staff those studios remains a top priority,” said Game On Audio founder and CEO, Sam Girardin. “Fred and Brian give us extremely accomplished professionals at each of our facilities.”
Senior engineer Fred Malone has 14 years of working primarily in the motion picture industry while at Technicolor Montreal. Some of his credits include Spider Man, Wall-E, Up, District 9, Star Trek, Tron Legacy, The Social Network and, recently, Cars 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2.
Senior engineer Brian Magrum is an eight-year veteran who has worked in film, television and radio. Some of his gaming credits include the forthcoming Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure, multiple games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Star Ocean, Condemned II and others. His television and film credits include SpongeBob SquarePants, Penguins of Madagascar, Saw 3D, Surrogates, Heroes, The Biggest Loser, Law & Order, Project Runway and Modern Family. Magrum has experience working directly with Game On Audio’s executive team, and is essentially “coming home” by taking a full time position with the company.
