Los Angeles, CA (July 23, 2012)–Gobbler, a cloud data storage service for digital media creators, announced today it has expanded to the PC/Windows platform.
Previously only available for Apple Macintosh and iOS, Gobbler is currently utilized by more than 40,000 media creators, including artists, musicians, pro audio engineers and producers, for its file-transfer technologies.
Gobbler scans all drives and catalogs the location of all audio in addition to automatically updating changes made to files and can send files of any size to anyone. Gobbler can monitor and automatically back-up a project with a collaborator, and send the entire project and all its associated files. Similar to Gobbler for Mac and iOS, the PC edition automatically catalogs all media project types even if they were not previously backed-up.
PCs used to access Gobbler must have Windows (7, XP SP3 32/64 bit, Vista 32/64 bit); 2 GB of RAM; 100 MB of fhard drive space for installation; and a high-speed internet connection.
“We’re striving to make media collaboration easier for as many people as possible, said Chris Kantrowitz, founder and CEO of Gobbler. “We already have a loyal following of Mac users who turn to Gobbler, and with the launch of PC, we see a vast opportunity to provide a purpose-built cloud solution that gives media creators a powerful way to share their most valuable assets–their projects.”
Gobbler also announced new pricing terms and larger account spaces. New users can opt for 5GB monthly of free storage or select one of four tiers ranging from 20GB ($4 monthly) up to 250GB ($30 monthly). All current paid subscribers will be bumped up to the new GB levels.
On a separate note, Gobber has offered a free 25 GB, 3-month account to all Pro Sound News, Pro Audio Review and ProSoundNetwork.com readers. Use coupon code NB25GB3 when signing up or follow the link https://www.gobbler.com/signup/coupons/nb25gb3
