London, UK (February 19, 2013)—James Hannigan is composing an original music score for Jagex Games Studio’s upcoming massively multiplayer online game, Transformers Universe.
Hannigan’s original score features themes recorded with full orchestra as well as a hybrid mechanistic soundtrack to reflect the action-driven style of gameplay. BAFTA award-winner and five-time BAFTA Original Music nominee Hannigan’s scoring career encompasses an array of genres including popular sci-fi titles. They include Command & Conquer: Tiberium Twilight, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Chris Roberts’ space combat simulation, Freelancer, and several entries in the Harry Potter series.
Most recently, Hannigan composed original music for Visceral Games/Electronic Arts’ sci-fi horror sequel Dead Space 3, winner of more than 15 critic awards at E3 2012. He also composes for film and television, contributing to TV series such as BBC America’s Primeval.
Hannigan’s music has been recorded with orchestras around the world including The Philharmonia, Skywalker Symphony Orchestra, The Chamber Orchestra of London and the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra-recording at Abbey Road, Skywalker Ranch and Air Lyndhurst. He is currently scoring several TV and video game projects yet to be announced.
