New York, NY (September 11, 2015)–Lancaster, PA-based Linear Acoustic and Minnesota-based Minnetonka Audio Software have merged, under Linear Acoustic’s parent company The Telos Alliance. Primarily based in Cleveland, OH, the Telos Alliance focuses on research, development, and manufacturing of IP Audio, telephony, and high-performance audio processing equipment for broadcasters; its other brands include Telos, Omnia, 25-Seven and Axia.
Linear Acoustic is known for its products for television audio control; The company designs and manufactures the AERO range of real-time and file-based loudness managers, UPMAX upmixing solutions, loudness metering products and standards-based codecs for distribution and emission. The Emmy® Award winning company is the television part of audio technology leader The Telos Alliance.
Meanwhile, Minnetonka Audio Software is a solutions provider for motion picture, video, broadcast, game, and optical disc production, and provides various software including its AudioTools Server and SurCode product lines which support audio codecs, file types, and standards for CD, DVD, Blu-ray, broadcast, and digital television.
