Dallas, TX (January 2, 2015)—Stephen Arnold Music continued an important holiday tradition with Little Kids Rock and the 2014 holiday release of The Six Strings of Christmas.
Founded in 2002, non-profit organization Little Kids Rock changes the lives of children everywhere by restoring and revitalizing music education in disadvantaged public schools. The organization partners with school districts, training public school teachers in their innovative curriculum, and donating all of the instruments and resources necessary to run full-fledged music programs. In 2013, Stephen Arnold Music, which channels 100 percent of the proceeds from sales on iTunes and CD to Little Kids Rock, raised over $3,000, which put 60 new acoustic guitars into the hands of deserving children.
The Six Strings of Christmas puts a spin on classic holiday songs. Each track is described as a virtuoso guitar performance—four-, six-, eight- and 12-string instruments are all represented—arranged and performed by top studio musicians and talent that work with Stephen Arnold Music throughout the year. The company’s work has been central to the identity of such clients as Nexstar Broadcasting, Fox Business Channel, CNN, The Weather Channel, CCTV, and a reported 35 percent of all U.S. local TV markets.
The result is fresh renditions of “Joy to the World”, “Ave Maria,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “O Come Emmanuel,” “The First Noel,” “Auld Lang Syne,” and 10 other tracks, recorded at Stephen Arnold Music’s studios in Dallas, TX.
“Word is continuing to spread about Little Kids Rock,” says Stephen Arnold, president of Stephen Arnold Music. “The Six Strings of Christmas is just one small piece of the puzzle for an organization that now sports an incredible Honorary Board of Directors including Bonnie Raitt, Slash, BB King, Paul Simon, Carlos Santana, Steven Van Zandt, Joe Satriani, and Ziggy Marley.”
