New York, NY (April 2, 2015)—Martin Audio has named Lee Stein as vice president, North America.
Stein’s background includes 18 years of industry management, sales and marketing experience, including roles with Avid Technology and Sennheiser. On Stein’s appointment, Managing Director, Luke Ireland said, “The U.S. market for Martin Audio has grown considerably in the last five years thanks to the support and dedication of Rob Hofkamp [director of U.S. Operations] and his team, and Rob has obviously been instrumental in developing the brand in the U.S. for the last two decades. Bringing in another heavyweight in Lee with his complementary industry knowledge and organizational skill can further enhance our strength in the U.S. and build upon these foundations to serve and grow our customer base in the next five years.”
Martin Audio has raised its profile in North American in recent years with the advent of its MLA Line Array systems. While rental partners have toured with artists such as Steely Dan and The Killers, and used the systems at festivals and corporate events, MLA Compact and MLA Mini have also made inroads within installed sound and House of Worship markets. Rob Hofkamp added, “Our growth in both the touring and installation markets has been fantastic, and the entire team in North America is looking forward to working with Lee to push this growth to the highest levels.”
Commenting on his appointment, Stein remarked, “I'm thrilled to be part of such a highly respected and successful loudspeaker manufacturer as Martin Audio. They have a high-performing, broad product portfolio with unique technology that solves everyday sound problems better than anyone else. Martin Audio has experienced great success globally and has a stated desire to increase their US presence and I'm excited to be a part of that. My immediate goals are to build the US team and to further develop and cultivate long-term partner relationships, increasing our presence in both live and installed sound."
