Orlando, FL (June 11, 2019)—Avnu Alliance has announced that Italy-based professional audio manufacturer RCF has joined as a new member of the organization’s pro AV segment to support the Milan network, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary at InfoComm 2019.
Milan is a standards-based, user-driven deterministic network protocol based on Audio Video Bridging (AVB) for professional media, that aims to ensure devices work together at new levels of convenience, reliability and functionality. Created and maintained by pro audio market manufacturers in the Avnu Alliance, Milan is a solution for promising deterministic, reliable, and future-proof delivery of networked media.
The Milan workgroup will convene during InfoComm 2019 to present on technical updates for the protocol in the last year, as well as ecosystem and product announcements from the group. There will be two events with presentations followed by a happy hour for networking. Milan co-creator Luminex (booth 6967) will also host a Milan interoperability product demo throughout the show.
On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, 5 PM – 6:30 PM, Adamson Systems Engineering will host “Milan Network Updates & News (Demo Room W230C).
On Thursday, June 13, 2019, 5 PM – 6:30 PM Meyer Sound will host “Milan Network Updates & News” (Demo Room W240).
Space is limited, so the Milan workgroup recommends that attendees RSVP via Eventbrite by end-of-day on June 11.
RCF joins other pro audio manufacturers that make up the core of the Milan workgroup in continuing to drive forward Milan’s market growth and momentum and deliver interoperable pro audio networked devices. Founded in 1949, RCF is a long-time audio industry manufacturer, with a modern manufacturing facility based in Italy, developing speakers, mixing consoles, microphones, technology, and accessories for live sound, professional and installed sound, and commercial audio needs.
