Mohit Parasher Exits Harman Pro

The president & EVP – Professional Solutions of Harman International has left after six years with the company.

Los Angeles, CA (January 7, 2020) — Mohit Parasher has parted ways with Harman Professional Solutions, announcing in a LinkedIn post that he is moving on from the company, bringing to an end nearly four years spent as the company’s president & EVP – Professional Solutions.

In the post, Parasher noted, “I am passing on the baton to pursue other interests. I feel blessed to have worked under the leadership of Dinesh Paliwal, CEO of Harman, and alongside his leadership team, which is one of the best in the game.”

Paliwal responded in the post’s comments, “Mohit, I wish you all the best. I am sure with your energy, drive and optimism you will bring much success outside Harman as well.”

Parasher first joined Harman in 2014, becoming Vice President & General Manager consumer electronics business for Asia Pacific. Based out of Singapore, he worked with brands such as Harman Kardon, JBL, AKG, Infinity, Mark Levinson and Lexicon, reportedly doubling revenue and tripling profits for the region during his tenure.

He was named president & EVP – Professional Solutions in May, 2016, overseeing AKG, AMX, BSS, Crown, dbx, DigiTech, JBL Professional, IDX, Lexicon, Martin, Soundcraft, Studer and SVSI. Just months later, consumer electronics giant Samsung acquired all of Harman for $8 billion in November, 2016, and in September, 2017, Harman Pro began a year of radical corporate transformation that saw consolidation of its multiple pro-audio brands into three Centers of Competency around the world, initially resulting in layoffs but ultimately leading to a reinvestment in employee count, IT, new facilities, experience centers and more. The move paid off, said Parasher in an early 2019 Pro Sound News interview, noting that 2018 was a record year for orders booked and a highest-ever year of audio product sales.

Parasher closed his LinkedIn post noting, “I had the privilege to serve with an incredibly talented, courageous and energetic team including the extended teams of our global business partners, distributors, customers and suppliers. I will always cherish these friendships.”
