Washington, DC (September 19, 2018)—The 2018 NAB Show New York, held October 17-18 at the Javits Convention Center and co-locating with this year’s AES Convention the same days, is shaping up to be bigger than ever, with more than 60 companies exhibiting at the event for the first time, according to the National Association of Broadcasters.
The 67 first-time exhibitors will join a variety of companies on the NAB Show New York show floor. Examples of the debuting companies include ARRI, Bose, Google, Microsoft and Primestream, among others.
In addition to the new companies, 227 past exhibitors will demonstrate their wares and latest technologies. Examples include AWS Elemental, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic and Verizon Digital Media. Many of these companies also exhibit at the annual NAB Show in Las Vegas. “The addition of these new exhibitors reflects NAB Show New York’s continued growth and uniqueness to the overall media, entertainment and technology industries,” said Chris Brown, NAB executive vice president of conventions and business operations. “We have a great mix of companies and technology. It is balanced and dynamic, reflecting the industry’s most important innovations displayed by its most progressive players.”
Also new to the show floor is the Advanced TV Solutions Theater, which will feature television vendors, networks and distributors involved with the development and implementation of ATSC 3.0/Next Gen TV, Telco 5G and Gigabit Cable WiFi.
Additionally, the new Podcast Studio will showcase business-focused and popular New York-based podcasts as they record live.
