Los Angeles, CA (January 24, 2017)—The nominations for the 89th annual Academy Awards were announced this morning, including the nominations for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing.

La La Land tops the list with a total of 14 nominations, including for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, equaling the record previously set by All About Eve (1950) and Titanic (1997). Arrival, with nominations for Sound Editing and Sound Mixing, and Moonlight each received eight nominations.

Jimmy Kimmel will host the 2017 Academy Awards when it airs live on February 26, 2017 on the ABC Television Network.

Wylie Stateman and Renée Tondelli
