Meyer Sound has revamped its sales and technical services teams to answer sales growth globally in all vertical markets. John McMahon has been promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing, taking on responsibility for global sales, with all U.S. regional and international sales managers reporting directly to him. McMahon also will oversee all of the company’s outward-facing operations, including marketing, technical services and education/training.
Meyer Sound Germany, under the direction of Wolfgang Leute, has expanded its role to support dealer networks in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia and parts of Eastern Europe including Russia, the Baltics, Romania and Bulgaria.
Jocelyn Moras will assume responsibility of managing the sales teams throughout Latin America, including Central and South America and the Caribbean. Meyer Sound Mexico returns to being the sole and exclusive distributor for Mexico, under Moras’ direction from the Mexico City office.
Sales throughout Asia have been refocused under director of international sales Scott Gledhill, who has been on the Meyer Sound sales team for more than 30 years. Gledhill will continue to manage Meyer Sound’s network of European distributors, in addition to leading Asian sales activities with support from the Meyer Sound Asia office recently established in Singapore.
Elsewhere in Meyer Sound, technical services responsibilities have been realigned, with Dennis Tholema, technical services manager, international, heading a global team from the Meyer Sound Europe offices in Germany.
Arista Corp. has appointed Sam L. Malik to the position of vice president of sales and marketing. He will provide oversight of the company’s pro AV distribution channels and management of the company’s VARs and system integrators. He served most recently as senior director of sales at Optoma USA, where he was responsible for North American pro AV sales. Malik has also held positions at Proxima Displays, Premier Mounts, Sanyo Corp., Vivitek Corp. and Toshiba America.
QSC has brought on Jason Moss as vice president, alliances and market development, where he will be responsible for developing and managing strategic alliances with AV/IT collaboration manufacturers and service providers globally. Moss most recently spent nine years at Logitech, where he developed partnerships with collaboration and SaaS companies. He also led global OEM strategic accounts, setting strategy and directing sales and business development initiatives.
PMC has hired Travis Schuster as a field and service engineer. He will operate from PMC’s U.S. service and demo center in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA. Originally from Alaska, Schuster is charged with servicing and repairing PMC monitors as needed. The addition of a dedicated U.S. repair facility is a change of pace for the company; previously, PMC monitors in need of repair had to be shipped back to the company’s headquarters in the United Kingdom.
Optocore and BroaMan
Munich-based fiber network specialists Optocore and BroaMan announced the promotion of Dawid Somló to sales distribution manager for both brands. Somló has been with the company for five years. During that period, he has managed relationships with existing distributors and expanded its distribution network worldwide. He is now tasked with overall international sales and network responsibility.
Clear-Com has appointed Jeanine Zolczynski to the newly created role of PR coordinator as part of the company’s ongoing growth plans. Coming to Clear-Com from Meyer Sound, Zolczynski will work alongside the company’s longtime global PR partner, Bubble Agency, and with Clear-Com partners, end users and the internal team to meet the company’s marketing and communications goals and to create new outreach opportunities.
Riedel Communications has named Ernesto de la Torre regional sales manager, Western U.S. He will report to Rich Zabel, vice president of sales for Riedel Communications North America. Most recently, he served for 16 years in business development and strategic account management roles at Bexel Global Broadcast Solutions, including business development manager of engineered services, based in Los Angeles. He also previously served as business development manager for the United States and Latin America, based in Mexico City, and strategic account manager for the company’s rental services division in New York City.
