Audix has appointed Steve Young, CTS, as its new director of U.S. sales. An industry veteran with more than 20 years in the pro audio manufacturing industry, Young was most recently the director of large venue sales for Biamp/Community Loudspeakers. Prior to that, he was vice president of sales and marketing at AtlasIED, and he joined Behringer for the launch of the X32 digital mixer.
Synthax, U.S. distributor of RME, Ferrofish, Digigram, Appsys and myMix, has announced the appointment of Mary Eisaman to the role of business development manager. Eisaman will be responsible for developing and growing the footprint of the Synthax brand portfolio in the Latin American market. Eisaman has been working in the professional audio markets in Latin America for the past 12 years, serving the system integration, live sound, studio, broadcast and MI markets. Prior to assuming this new role, Eisaman served as director of sales and marketing, Latin America, for Audio-Technica, U.S.
Yamaha Corp. of America
Yamaha Corp. of America has named Randy Beck vice president of integrated marketing. He reports to Matt Searfus, corporate vice president, integrated marketing. Before joining Yamaha, Beck held the position of vice president of percussion at D’Addario & Co, where he led the global strategic direction for the company’s percussion business unit. Prior to that, he was at Nestle Purina Pet Care in St. Louis, MO, where he was director of marketing responsible for the Friskies, Kit & Kaboodle and Deli Cat brands. Beck also spent five years at Campbell Soup Company, where he led brand strategy development and execution for Campbell’s Kitchen and Pace.
Denny McLane has joined Symetrix as manager of the customer experience team. McLane began his career as the president and owner of Sound Techniques in North Hollywood, CA, where he designed and installed sound and video systems for churches, auditoriums and theaters, and provided live sound production for producer David Foster and his roster of artists. He later spent seven years at BSS Audio (Harman Pro), presiding over sales and support for Soundweb London for the western U.S., and most recently held the position of consultant liaison with Atlas-IED, driving architectural projects toward their product offering.
Danley Sound Labs
Danley Sound Labs has announced that Skip Welch, currently director of sales, will take on additional responsibilities to become the company’s director of sales & marketing. Welch spent his first seven years at Danley in the roles of Eastern regional manager and national sales manager. Jeff Pulliam, general manager at Danley Sound Labs, remarked, “He knows the audio industry inside and out and understands the unique and growing niche that Danley holds within it.
All Pro Integrated Systems
All Pro Integrated Systems has added two industry veterans to its staff with the appointment of Clint Aull, as installation manager, and Aaron Ruse, who takes on the newly created position of business account executive for All Pro Integrated Systems’ Midwest sales team. With a background in production management, Aull began his career with the Rock ’N’ Roll Worship Circus, holding various technical roles including FOH engineer. He later moved on to manage production for several large-scale concert tours and theaters. From 2013 to 2018, Aull was production manager and FOH engineer for Bethel Music.
Ruse previously served as technical director at Saddleback Community Church in Lake Forest, CA. Prior to that, he was technical director and FOH engineer at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL. He also spent nearly a decade working with several corporations, particularly in the pharmaceutical industry, to produce high-end corporate events across the country.
AVDG has appointed industry veteran Timothy Hill, CTS-I, CTS-D, CCDA, to the position of general manager of the company’s Eastern U.S. operations. Prior to joining AVDG, Hill was global vice president of engineering at AVI-SPL, where he established engineering standards, overseeing the management of an international team of more than 350 personnel including pre- and post-sales engineers, solution architects and CAD technicians. He was the founder of OmniPresence, an audiovisual and videoconferencing integrator, from 2002 to 2011, where he served as chief technology officer until its acquisition by Carousel Industries.
David Carroll Associates
AV/Technology systems design and integration company David Carroll Associates has added three new positions: Allen Mays has been promoted to the position of senior media engineer; Jeff Allen comes aboard as account manager; and Dean Burns joins the company as integration manager.
Alan Mays is a veteran of live broadcast and post-production whose credits include launching E! TV. His resume includes roles at Lucasfilm’s Skywalker Ranch and Video Arts in San Francisco. As an engineer for NEP Group, he has supported high-profile productions including the Academy Awards and the Super Bowl.
With more than a quarter century in the AV industry, Jeff Allen has been involved in close to 1,000 projects spanning commercial, government, medical, and educational markets.
Dean Burns comes to DCA with more than 40 years of experience in the live production and installed AV industries. His career has included building and operating radio stations, TV studios, and AV production facilities.
