Baton Rouge, LA (July 31, 2012)—Carl Jacobson, a long-time marketing coordinator in the Pro Audio industry, recently started his new position as Director of Business Development and Strategic Marketing with PreSonus.

In his new role, Jacobson will be responsible for forging strategic business relationships and driving co-marketing initiatives with music and technology providers.

Jacobson has previously served as Vice President of Marketing for Nimbit and as Vice President of Marketing for Cakewalk. Jacobson has also worked for A&M and New World Records, and launched Soundsbig.com, an online radio broadcasting network.

Jacobson has been responsible for co-marketing campaigns featuring Intel, Microsoft, HP, Dell and others in positioning their products for the music marketplace. He is also a regular speaker on music technology and music business, with engagements including SXSW, CMJ Music Marathon, Belfast Music Week, ASCAP "I Create Music Expo," and NAMM. He has written articles for ASCAP's Plackback, Billboard, Hypebot and Electronic Music.
