New York, NY (July 26, 2013)—The InfoComm/NewBay Rental Staging Roadshow will return to New York City on Wednesday, July 31. Registration is still open for the event, which will include a new line-up and new focuses.
The Roadshow will take place at the Metropolitan Pavilion (123 West 18th Street, 1st Floor, New York, NY 10011), where in summer 2012 the most successful and well-attended Roadshow ever took place (over 300 attendees). Worldstage (formerly called Scharff Weisberg) will co-host the NYC event with NewBay again this year– so you know the venue and the technology on hand will be great.

Chris Curran of TMB (the exclusive U.S. distributor of Hippotizer will demonstrate advanced video tools using the Green Hippo Video Server Platform. Hippotizer has become a piece of kit that can add a great deal of diversity to most shows and events, working with either projection or various LED screens. Pixel mapping, Soft Edge Blending and Time Line Programming will be explored; and functions such as LiveMask, ScreenWarp Manager, and more will show stagers what is going on in the world of content that takes video for live events way beyond IMAG.

LeJeune has more than 30 years of staging and presentation expertise. He began his career in concert touring, later moving to AV staging for national touring accounts. He has produced events that incorporate the latest meeting techniques and technologies, sound, lighting and video presentation systems. He has been involved with InfoComm since the early 80s, serving twice as chair of the Professional Education and Training Committee as well as authoring and presenting classes at the Institute for Professional Development and seminars at InfoComm. Andre was presented with the Educator of the Year award in 1995. Most recently, LeJeune was Senior Director of AV Training for an international hotel chain. InfoComm (1RU)

Midori Connolly will explain how Social media has created an environment where multi-directional communication and a high-level of interactivity are the norm– and she’ll show you specific new tools and Apps to stay ahead of the curve. People are no longer only educated by professional instructors, but rely on their peers for information and learning. No longer do they want pre-selected content thrust at them from a big screen, but they want to live inside of an experience, and help create it as they go. From hybrid events to the second screen, content consumption is about an on-demand, digital medium. How do stagers keep up with this trend? A look at Apps and platforms.
