Hamamatsu, Japan (April 16, 2015)—Ikutaro Kakehashi, founder of Roland, is at Frankfurt Musikmesse/Pro Light & Sound with his new company, Atelier Vision Corporation (ATV), which is exhibiting for the first time internationally. Founded last year, the new company is focusing on applications in the broadcast, entertainment, networking, corporate AV, events, installation, and digital signage markets.

Atelier Vision’s production and twin R&D departments have been located in Japan from the company’s inception (the Hamamatsu R&D center handles MI products, while the Matsumoto center looks after AV), but it has a European office to handle sales and marketing for the EMEA region, headed by Paulo Caius, former President of Roland Iberia. ATV Europe, a 50/50 partnership between Caius and Kakehashi, was founded in Porto, Portugal, and will shortly be transferring operations to Eindhoven in the Netherlands.

“The last five years has seen vast changes in the technologies that power the AV and MI markets” comments Paulo Caius “In addition, consumers in these markets are now better-informed and more interconnected than ever, and demand companies whose products and services meet their ever-rising expectations. Our experience taught us that AV and MI products need to be better, as do the companies that make them. That’s what we had in mind when we founded ATV.”

ATV is at Stand E26 in the new B2B area in Hall 4.1 at the Messe.
