Stamford, CT (February 4, 2014)—Harman International Industries, Inc. and D&M Holdings. Inc. have reached a settlement agreement resolving two lawsuits brought by Harman subsidiary Studer Professional Audio GmbH against D&M and its subsidiaries D&M Holding U.S. Inc. and Calrec Audio Ltd.
In October 2011, Studer filed against D&M alleging D&M and Calrec infringed three patents owned by Studer regarding its FaderGlow technology, incorporated in its Vista 9 Series digital mixing consoles and Soundcraft’s Vi and Si Series digital live sound consoles. Studer alleged that the Calrec infringed these patents through the manufacture and sale of its Apollo and Artemis audio mixing consoles.
As part of the settlement, Calrec will modify the two consoles; in the meantime, the lawsuits have been, or are in the process of being, dismissed. Other terms of the settlement remain confidential.
