Sweetwater Reaches 400 Employees

Sweetwater has hired five new employees, four of whom are Sales Engineers, bringing total employment there to 400.

Fort Wayne, IN (June 10, 2011)--Sweetwater has hired five new employees, four of whom are Sales Engineers, bringing total employment there to 400.

Sweetwater founder and president Chuck Surack said, "We plan to continue, for the foreseeable future, to hire talented and dedicated young people interested in music and music-making to help us provide world-class service and expertise to our ever-increasing customer base."

Sales Engineer T.J. Bechill received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology from the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, IN, a program that Sweetwater provided funding to establish four years ago. He is originally from Wauseon, OH.

Sales Engineer Jim Cooper is from Houston, TX and has a degree in audio engineering from Houston Community College.

Sales Engineer Nathan Malone is a native of Stafford, VA and received an Associates Degree in Recording Arts, and a Bachelors in Music Business, from Full Sail in Orlando, FL.

Sales Engineer Troy Watson grew up in Lafayette, IN and attended Purdue University before transferring to the Institute of Production and Recording in Minneapolis, MN, where he received his Associates Degree in Audio Production.

Copywriter Lee Andrews is from the St. Louis, MO area where for eight years, he served as chief editor and marketing manager for Mel Bay Publications. He has authored 23 books, comprised primarily of instruction on "anything with strings."
