Indie artists such as Romans are available on Thwak! Music’s KBV Sync
New York, NY (May 15, 2012)—Thwak! Music has launched a new online music search and licensing toolset, KBV Sync.
Named after the KBV Records label run by original music/sound design and licensing studio Thwak!, KBV Synch uses a new user interface, improved tagging, more filters and iPhone/iPad compatibility to help guide music experts and their clients to the ideal music for their project. The result is a resource where clients can locate exclusive songs and instrumentals, then license them. In many cases, a desired track can also be customized upon request.
“In KBV Synch, we combined our music production, ad agency and song clearance experience from Thwak! with the A&R power and artist roster of a record label,” says Tony Verderosa, creative director, Thwak! Music.
The KBV Synch search engine now features approximately 5,000 exclusively represented songs and instrumentals from such indie artists as DJ DRM, Romans, Smiles and Frowns and the Black Flamingos. The catalog also offers Emmy Award-winning film composer Alex Wurman (Anchorman, Temple Grandin, Talladega Nights) and Grammy winner Philippe Saisse (Rolling Stones, Chaka Khan) among many other composers. Tracks can be searched via a variety of criteria, including genre, mood, tempo, vocals/instrumentals and lyrics keywords.
Recent projects for Thwak! include complete music supervision and song clearance for the upcoming feature film, Recalled, from director Mike Connors, featuring Bow Wow, Aidan Quinn, Seth Gable and Pablo Schreiber and sync licensing for a Smirnoff ad campaign directed by David LaChappelle.
