This weekend, West L.A. Music will host its annual Recording Expo, with exhibits by recording equipment manufacturers, featuring the latest recording products and technology.

Los Angeles (November 11, 2011)—This weekend, West L.A. Music will host its annual Recording Expo, with exhibits by recording equipment manufacturers, featuring the latest recording products and technology.

Workshops and seminars are planned by artists and noted industry professionals, including Grammy-, Emmy- and Academy Award-winning songwriters, composers, engineers and producers.

Recording hardware and software will be presented with special exhibits and presentations, featuring the latest Pro Tools recording platform plus third-party applications and plug-ins. An Apple classroom will offer hands on training sessions for Logic and GarageBand.

The Expo will be held at West L.A. Music’s Santa Monica Blvd. location, as well as the adjacent Los Angeles Recreation Center.

Dirty Dancing Producer and hit-maker Michael Lloyd, will discuss how he produced over 100 gold and platinum records for Barry Manilow, Lou Rawls, Shaun Cassidy, Belinda Carlisle, The Monkees, The Osmonds, Sammy Davis, Jr., The Righteous Brothers, Air Supply, and Frank Sinatra, to name a few. Producer, Platinum Recording Artist, Rapper, MC and Beat-maker DJ Quik will discuss producing, engineering and succeeding in the new music industry, and why vinyl outsells CDs in Europe 37 to 1.
