What’s the Value of Music?

The Production Music Association (PMA) is hosting a panel on Thursday, February 9, to discuss copyright and compensation in the current landscape of social media and new media platforms.

Studio City, CA (February 6, 2012)—The Production Music Association (PMA) is hosting a panel on Thursday, February 9, to discuss copyright and compensation in the current landscape of social media and new media platforms.

Panelists for “What’s the Value of Music?” include moderator Joe Saba, co-founder and co-owner of VideoHelper and a PMA board member; Richard Bellis, composer; Steve Celi, music manager, FOX on-air promotion; Norman Chesky, co-founder and co-owner, Manhattan Production Music and Chesky Records, and a founding member of the PMA; Steve Pecile, president, Soundminer; and David Renzer, entrepreneur and former chairman/CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group.

“What’s the Value of Music?” is scheduled for Thursday, February 9, 2012, 6:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., at The Sportsmen’s Lodge, 12825 Ventura Boulevard (at Coldwater Canyon), Studio City, CA 91604.

Admission for PMA members is $10, $15 for non-members and guests. There will be a dinner for PMA members immediately prior to this event from 4:30 – 6:30.
