Eden Prairie, MN (October 15, 2012)—Wireless listening technology manufacturer Williams Sound sponsored and participated in the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) 2012 Walk4Hearing on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.
Paul Ingebrigtsen, President and CEO of Williams Sound says, “Williams Sound was pleased to sponsor the second annual Walk4Hearing in the Twin Cities to help raise awareness about hearing loss, as well as to support the HLAA in its educational efforts. It was a great opportunity for our company and our employees to show their support for our customers. And it was a perfect day for a 5K—a warm and sunny autumn morning in Minnesota. We urge everyone to join in the fun next year!”
HLAA launched the Walk4Hearing in 2006, a nationwide walk in several cities to increase awareness among the general public about hearing loss. Its ongoing goals: to have hearing loss recognized as a health issue; to minimize the stigma associated with wearing hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive technology; to raise funds to expand services and programs for people with hearing loss and their families; and to empower the HLAA state organizations and chapters to do more local outreach.
